Summary of Changes to the Monosemy Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Terms of Service

The principal changes from the Terms dated August 10, 2026 (v3) are:

1. A new urgent-security-response provision requires content-free metadata to be reviewed first and permits temporary, minimum-scope review of incident-related content records only when metadata is insufficient and further harm is imminent. It also requires masking, restricted access, access logs, limits on sensitive-information use, and prompt destruction.
2. Trial operation of the Service as a whole ends at 00:00 KST on September 29, 2026. After that time, only features individually designated and identified by the Company are treated as Trial Features.
3. The Terms clarify that mandatory law in a User's country of residence may govern interpretation or jurisdiction differently.
4. New U.S. supplemental terms address informal dispute resolution, individual arbitration, class-action and jury-trial waivers, mass arbitration, opt-out rights, warranty disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, and California notices. Arbitration and waiver provisions apply to existing U.S. Users only after separate affirmative assent.

Privacy Policy

The principal changes from the Privacy Policy dated August 10, 2026 (v3) are:

1. PostHog and Sentry are added to the processor and international-transfer disclosures, including analytics and monitoring identifiers and applicable retention periods.
2. Temporary, minimum-scope review of processing records after an urgent security threat is described together with the legal basis, access controls, and prompt-destruction requirements.
3. Kakao Corp. is added as a processor for map display and place search.
4. PostHog's processing of country and region estimated from access IP is disclosed.
5. OpenAI model providers routed through OpenRouter are added to the processor and international-transfer disclosures, and the current provider paths are clarified.
6. The section on automatically collected information is divided between web and mobile-app practices and explains how to request suspension of analytics and error-diagnostic collection in the app.
